The The Book Of As-Saum (The Fasting) in Sahih Bukhari 1943 shows the teachings and good conduct of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). It was compiled by Imam Muhammad al-Bukhari and has one hundred and seventeen hadiths that explain the guidance and messages given to the Prophet SAW. حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ يُوسُفَ ، أَخْبَرَنَا مَالِكٌ ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، أَنَّ حَمْزَةَ بْنَ عَمْرٍو الْأَسْلَمِيَّ ، قَالَ لِلنَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : أَأَصُومُ فِي السَّفَرِ ، وَكَانَ كَثِيرَ الصِّيَامِ ؟ فَقَالَ : إِنْ شِئْتَ فَصُمْ ، وَإِنْ شِئْتَ فَأَفْطِرْ .
