حَدَّثَنَا خَلَّادُ بْنُ أَسْلَمَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ الْبَغْدَادِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا النَّضْرُ بْنُ شُمَيْلٍ، أَخْبَرَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ حَسَّانَ، عَنْ حَفْصَةَ بِنْتِ سِيرِينَ، قَالَتْ:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنِي أَنَسُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ، قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ كُنْتُ عِنْدَ ابْنِ زِيَادٍ فَجِيءَ بِرَأْسِ الْحُسَيْنِ،‏‏‏‏ فَجَعَلَ يَقُولُ بِقَضِيبٍ لَهُ فِي أَنْفِهِ وَيَقُولُ:‏‏‏‏ مَا رَأَيْتُ مِثْلَ هَذَا حُسْنًا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ قُلْتُ:‏‏‏‏ أَمَا إِنَّهُ كَانَ مِنْ أَشْبَهِهِمْ بِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ هَذَا حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ غَرِيبٌ.

Narrated Anas bin Malik: I was with Ibn Ziyad and the head of Al-Husain was brought. He began to poke it in the nose with a stick he had, saying: 'I do not see the like of this as beautiful, why is he mentioned as such?' He said: I said: 'Behold, he was of the closest resemblance to the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ).'
