The The Book On Hajj in Jami at Tirmidhi 834 shows the teachings and good conduct of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). It was compiled by Imam Abu Isa Muhammad at-Tirmizi and has one hundred and fifty-six hadiths that explain the guidance and messages given to the Prophet SAW. حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدَةَ الضَّبِّيُّ الْبَصْرِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ زُرَيْعٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَيُّوبُ، حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ دِينَارٍ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، يَقُولُ: الْمُحْرِمُ إِذَا لَمْ يَجِدِ الْإِزَارَ فَلْيَلْبَسْ السَّرَاوِيلَ، وَإِذَا لَمْ يَجِدِ النَّعْلَيْنِ فَلْيَلْبَسْ الْخُفَّيْنِ . حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ عَمْرٍو نَحْوَهُ، قَالَ: وَفِي الْبَاب عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، وَجَابِرٍ، قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى: هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ، وَالْعَمَلُ عَلَى هَذَا عِنْدَ بَعْضِ أَهْلِ الْعِلْمِ، قَالُوا: إِذَا لَمْ يَجِدِ الْمُحْرِمُ الْإِزَارَ لَبِسَ السَّرَاوِيلَ، وَإِذَا لَمْ يَجِدِ النَّعْلَيْنِ لَبِسَ الْخُفَّيْنِ، وَهُوَ قَوْلُ أَحْمَدَ، وقَالَ بَعْضُهُمْ عَلَى حَدِيثِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: إِذَا لَمْ يَجِدْ نَعْلَيْنِ فَلْيَلْبَسْ الْخُفَّيْنِ، وَلْيَقْطَعْهُمَا أَسْفَلَ مِنَ الْكَعْبَيْنِ وَهُوَ قَوْلُ سُفْيَانَ الثَّوْرِيِّ، وَالشَّافِعِيِّ، وَبِهِ يَقُولُ مَالِكٌ.
Ibn Abbas narrated that: He heard the Messenger of Allah say: If the Muhrim cannot find an Izar, then let him wear pants, and if he cannot find sandals, them let him wear Khuff.
