و حَدَّثَنِي سُرَيْجُ بْنُ يُونُسَ وَعَلِيُّ بْنُ حُجْرٍ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَعِيلُ وَهُوَ ابْنُ عُلَيَّةَ عَنْ هِشَامٍ الدَّسْتَوَائِيِّ ح و حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى وَاللَّفْظُ لَهُ حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَلَمَةَ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ إِذَا رَأَيْتُمْ الْجَنَازَةَ فَقُومُوا فَمَنْ تَبِعَهَا فَلَا يَجْلِسْ حَتَّى تُوضَعَ

It is narrated on the authority of Abu Sa'id al-Khudri that the Prophet ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) said: Whenever you come across a bier you should stand up, and he who follows it should not sit down till it is placed on the ground.
