حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، وَأَبُو كُرَيْبٍ، قَالَا: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ الْقَاسِمِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهَا، قَالَتْ: كَانَتْ فِي بَرِيرَةَ ثَلَاثُ قَضِيَّاتٍ كَانَ النَّاسُ يَتَصَدَّقُونَ عَلَيْهَا، وَتُهْدِي لَنَا، فَذَكَرْتُ ذَلِكَ لِلنَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ: «هُوَ عَلَيْهَا صَدَقَةٌ وَلَكُمْ هَدِيَّةٌ فَكُلُوهُ»

A'isha (Allah be pleased with her) said: Three are the decions (of the Shari'ah that we have come to know) through Barira. The people gave her sadaqa and she offered us as gift. We made a mention of it to the Messenger of Allah ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ), whereupon he said: It is a sadaqa for her and a gift for you; so eat it.
