وحَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَةُ يَعْنِي ابْنَ سُلَيْمَانَ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ وَهْبِ بْنِ كَيْسَانَ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ، قَالَ: «بَعَثَنَا النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَنَحْنُ ثَلَاثُ مِائَةٍ نَحْمِلُ أَزْوَادَنَا عَلَى رِقَابِنَا»

Jabir b. 'Abdullah reported: Allah's Apostle ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) sent us (on an expedition), and we were three hundred in number, and we were carrying our bags of provisions around our necks.
