Sunan Abu Dawood 843

حَدَّثَنَا زِيَادُ بْنُ أَيُّوبَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَيُّوبَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِي قِلَابَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ جَاءَنَا أَبُو سُلَيْمَانَ مَالِكُ بْنُ الْحُوَيْرِثِ إِلَى مَسْجِدِنَا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ:‏‏‏‏ وَاللَّهِ إِنِّي لَأُصَلِّي، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَمَا أُرِيدُ الصَّلَاةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَلَكِنِّي أُرِيدُ أَنْ أُرِيَكُمْ كَيْفَ رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُصَلِّي، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ فَقَعَدَ فِي الرَّكْعَةِ الْأُولَى حِينَ رَفَعَ رَأْسَهُ مِنَ السَّجْدَةِ الْآخِرَةِ .

Abu Qilabah said: Abu Sulaiman Malik bin al-Huwairth came to our mosque, and said: By Allah, I Shall offer prayer, though I do not intend to pray; I only intend to show you how I saw the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم praying. The narrator said: ( He then prayed and ) he sat at the end of the first rak’ah when he raised his head after the last prostration.
