أَخْبَرَنَا سُوَيْدُ بْنُ نَصْرٍ، قَالَ: أَنْبَأَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ: لَمْ تُقْطَعْ يَدُ سَارِقٍ فِي أَدْنَى مِنْ حَجَفَةٍ أَوْ تُرْسٍ وَكُلُّ وَاحِدٍ مِنْهُمَا ذُو ثَمَنٍ .
It was narrated that 'Aishah said: The hand of the thief should not be cut off for anything less than a Hajafah or a Turs (two kinds of shields), each of which was worth a (decent) price.
It was narrated from 'Abdullah that: the Prophet cut off (the thief's hand) for (something) that was worth five Dirhams. (Daif) ..
