أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْحَاق بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَقُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ الْقَاسِمَ بْنَ مُحَمَّدٍ يُخْبِرُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَائِشَةَ زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ،‏‏‏‏ قَالَتْ:‏‏‏‏ دَخَلَ عَلَيَّ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَقَدْ سَتَّرْتُ بِقِرَامٍ فِيهِ تَمَاثِيلُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَلَمَّا رَآهُ تَلَوَّنَ وَجْهُهُ،‏‏‏‏ ثُمَّ هَتَكَهُ بِيَدِهِ وَقَالَ:‏‏‏‏ إِنَّ أَشَدَّ النَّاسِ عَذَابًا يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ الَّذِينَ يُشَبِّهُونَ بِخَلْقِ اللَّهِ .

It was narrated that 'Aishah, the wife of the Prophet [SAW], said: The Messenger of Allah [SAW] entered upon me, and I had put up a curtain on which there were images. When he saw it, his face changed color, then he tore it down with his hand and said: 'The people who will be most severely punished on the Day of Resurrection will be those who try to imitate the creation of Allah.'
