The Chapters Regarding Funerals in Sunan Ibn Majah 1454 shows the teachings and good conduct of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). It was compiled by Imam Ibn Majah and has two hundred and five hadiths that explain the guidance and messages given to the Prophet SAW. حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيل بْنُ أَسَدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو إِسْحَاق الْفَزَارِيُّ، عَنْ خَالِدٍ الْحَذَّاءِ، عَنْ أَبِي قِلَابَةَ، عَنْ قَبِيصَةَ بْنِ ذُؤَيْبٍ، عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ، قَالَتْ: دَخَلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَى أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، وَقَدْ شَقَّ بَصَرُهُ، فَأَغْمَضَهُ، ثُمَّ قَالَ: إِنَّ الرُّوحَ إِذَا قُبِضَ تَبِعَهُ الْبَصَرُ .
It was narrated that Umm Salamah said: “The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) entered upon Abu Salamah (after he had died), and his eyes were wide open. He closed his eyes, then he said: ‘When the soul is taken, the sight follows it.’”
It was narrated from Shaddad bin Aws that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “When you come to your dead ones, close their eyes, for the sight follows the soul. And say good things, for the Angels say Amin to what the members of the household say.” ..
