حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ حَجَّاجٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عُرْوَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏ وعَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَا:‏‏‏‏ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ لَا نِكَاحَ إِلَّا بِوَلِيٍّ ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَفِي حَدِيثِ عَائِشَةَ:‏‏‏‏ وَالسُّلْطَانُ وَلِيُّ مَنْ لَا وَلِيَّ لَهُ .

It was narrated that: Aisha and Ibn Abbas said: “The Messenger of Allah said: 'There is no marriage except with a guardian.' ”According to the Hadith of Aishah: “And the ruler is the guardian of the one who does not have a guardian. ”
