حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ،‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا كَثِيرُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ،‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ بُرْقَانَ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ سَالِمٍ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ أَبِيهِ،‏‏‏‏ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ أَنْ يَأْكُلَ الرَّجُلُ وَهُوَ مُنْبَطِحٌ عَلَى وَجْهِهِ .

It was narrated from Salim that his father said: “The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) forbade a man from eating while lying down on his face.”
