حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بِشْرٍ بَكْرُ بْنُ خَلَفٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ سَهْلٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو حَمْزَةَ الْعَطَّارُ، عَنْ الْحَسَنِ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، قَالَ: أُهْدِيَ لِلنَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَسَلٌ، فَقَسَمَ بَيْنَنَا لُعْقَةً لُعْقَةً فَأَخَذْتُ لُعْقَتِي، ثُمَّ قُلْتُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، أَزْدَادُ أُخْرَى، قَالَ: نَعَمْ .
It was narrated that Jabir bin ‘Abdullah said: “Some honey was given as a gift to the Prophet (ﷺ), and he shared among us spoonful by spoonful. I took my spoonful then I said: ‘O Messenger of Allah, can I have another?’ He said: ‘Yes.’”
