حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ،‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْأَحْوَصِ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاق،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ هُبَيْرَةَ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ عَلِيٍّ،‏‏‏‏ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ خَاتَمِ الذَّهَبِ،‏‏‏‏ وَعَنِ الْمِيثَرَةِ ،‏‏‏‏ يَعْنِي:‏‏‏‏ الْحَمْرَاءَ.

It was narrated that ‘Ali said: “The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) forbade rings of gold and Al-Mitharah,”* meaning the red ones.
