حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ،‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ،‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ الْهُذَلِيُّ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ ابْنِ سِيرِينَ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ،‏‏‏‏ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ أَكْرَهُ الْغِلَّ،‏‏‏‏ وَأُحِبُّ الْقَيْدَ،‏‏‏‏ الْقَيْدُ ثَبَاتٌ فِي الدِّينِ .

It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “I dislike (to see in a dream) a chain around the neck, but I like to see fetters on the feet, for fetters (represent) steadfastness in religion.”
