حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ،‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ،‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ أَبِي حَيَّانَ التَّيْمِيِّ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ أَبِي زُرْعَةَ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ جَرِيرٍ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْعَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو،‏‏‏‏ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ أَوَّلُ الْآيَاتِ خُرُوجًا:‏‏‏‏ طُلُوعُ الشَّمْسِ مِنْ مَغْرِبِهَا،‏‏‏‏ وَخُرُوجُ الدَّابَّةِ عَلَى النَّاسِ ضُحًى ،‏‏‏‏ قَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ:‏‏‏‏ فَأَيَّتُهُمَا مَا خَرَجَتْ قَبْلَ الْأُخْرَى،‏‏‏‏ فَالْأُخْرَى مِنْهَا قَرِيبٌ،‏‏‏‏ قَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ:‏‏‏‏ وَلَا أَظُنُّهَا إِلَّا طُلُوعَ الشَّمْسِ مِنْ مَغْرِبِهَا.

It was narrated from ‘Abdullah bin ‘Amr that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “The first signs to appear will be at the rising of the sun from the west and the emergence of the Beast to the people, at forenoon.’” 'Abdullah said: Whichever of them appears first, the other will come soon after. 'Abdullah said: I do not think it will be anything other than the sun rising from the west.
