Surah Maryam (Chapter Mary) is the 19th chapter of the Holy Quran and is named after the story of the birth of Prophet Jesus (peace be upon him) as mentioned in the Quran. It has 98 verses and is considered to be a Meccan Surah, revealed in the early period of Prophet Muhammad's (peace be upon him) mission.
