حَدَّثَنَا الْحَكَمُ بْنُ مُوسَى، حَدَّثَنَا هِقْلٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ زِيَادٍ، عَنِ الْأَوْزَاعِيِّ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ، قَالَ: كَانَ لِرِجَالٍ فُضُولُ أَرَضِينَ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «مَنْ كَانَتْ لَهُ فَضْلُ أَرْضٍ فَلْيَزْرَعْهَا، أَوْ لِيَمْنَحْهَا أَخَاهُ، فَإِنْ أَبَى فَلْيُمْسِكْ أَرْضَهُ

Jabir b. Abdullah (Allah be pleased with them) reported some of the Companions of Allah's Messenger ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) had surplus of land.
