Sunan Abu Dawood 1104

حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ يُونُسَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا زَائِدَةُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ حُصَيْنِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ رَأَى عُمَارَةُ بْنُ رُوَيْبَةَ بِشْرَ بْنَ مَرْوَانَ وَهُوَ يَدْعُو فِي يَوْمِ جُمُعَةٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ عُمَارَةُ:‏‏‏‏ قَبَّحَ اللَّهُ هَاتَيْنِ الْيَدَيْنِ. قَالَ زَائِدَةُ:‏‏‏‏ قَالَ حُصَيْنٌ:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنِي عُمَارَةُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ لَقَدْ رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُوَ عَلَى الْمِنْبَرِ مَا يَزِيدُ عَلَى هَذِهِ يَعْنِي السَّبَّابَةَ الَّتِي تَلِي الْإِبْهَامَ .

Umarah bin Ruwaibah said that he saw Bishr bin Marwan (on the pulpit) praying on Friday (by raising his hands). Umarah said: May Allah reject these hands! I have seen the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم on the pulpit gesturing no more than this pointing with his forefinger.
