Sunan Abu Dawood 231

The Purification (Kitab Al-Taharah) in Sunan Abu Dawood 231 shows the teachings and good conduct of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). It was compiled by Imam Abu Dawood and has three hundred and ninety hadiths that explain the guidance and messages given to the Prophet SAW. حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَبِشْرٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ بَكْرٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِي رَافِعٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ لَقِيَنِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي طَرِيقٍ مِنْ طُرُقِ الْمَدِينَةِ وَأَنَا جُنُبٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَاخْتَنَسْتُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَذَهَبْتُ فَاغْتَسَلْتُ ثُمَّ جِئْتُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ:‏‏‏‏ أَيْنَ كُنْتَ يَا أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ ؟ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ قُلْتُ:‏‏‏‏ إِنِّي كُنْتُ جُنُبًا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَكَرِهْتُ أَنْ أُجَالِسَكَ عَلَى غَيْرِ طَهَارَةٍ. فَقَالَ:‏‏‏‏ سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏إِنَّ الْمُسْلِمَ لَا يَنْجُسُ ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وقَالَ فِي حَدِيثِ بِشْرٍ:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا حُمَيْدٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنِي بَكْرٌ.

Abu Hudhaifah reported: The Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم met me on one of the streets of Madina while I was sexually defiled. I retreated and went away. I then took a bath and came to him. He asked: Where were you, O Abu Hurairah? I replied: As I was sexually defiled, I disliked to sit in your company without purification. He exclaimed: Glory be to Allah! A Muslim is not defiled. He (Abu Dawud) said: The version of this tradition reported by Bishr has the chain: Humaid reported from Bakr.
