Sunan Abu Dawood 3159

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحِيمِ بْنُ مُطَرِّفٍ الرُّؤَاسِيُّ أَبُو سُفْيَانَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَأَحْمَدُ بْنُ جَنَابٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَا:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا عِيسَى، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ أَبُو دَاوُد:‏‏‏‏ هُوَ ابْنُ يُونُسَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ الْبَلَوِيِّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَزْرَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَقَالَ عَبْدُ الرَّحِيمِ:‏‏‏‏ عُرْوَةَ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِيهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنِالْحُصَيْنِ بْنِ وَحْوَحٍ:‏‏‏‏ أَنَّ طَلْحَةَ بْنَ الْبَرَاءِ مَرِضَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَأَتَاهُ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَعُودُهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ:‏‏‏‏ إِنِّي لَا أَرَى طَلْحَةَ إِلَّا قَدْ حَدَثَ فِيهِ الْمَوْتُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَآذِنُونِي بِهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَعَجِّلُوا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَإِنَّهُ لَا يَنْبَغِي لِجِيفَةِ مُسْلِمٍ أَنْ تُحْبَسَ بَيْنَ ظَهْرَانَيْ أَهْلِهِ .

Narrated Al-Husayn ibn Wahwah: Talhah ibn al-Bara fell ill and the Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم came to pay him a sick-visit. He said: I think Talhah has died; so tell me (about his death), and make haste, for it is not advisable that the corpse of a Muslim should remain withheld among his family.
