حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ يُونُسَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو شِهَابٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ مُغِيرَةَ ابْنِ زِيَادٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَدِيِّ بْنِ عَدِيٍّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَحْوَهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ مَنْ شَهِدَهَا فَكَرِهَهَا كَانَ كَمَنْ غَابَ عَنْهَا.

A similar tradition has also been transmitted by ‘Adl from the prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم though a different chain of narrators. This version has: He who sees it and disapproves of it will be like him who was not present.
