Sunan Abu Dawood 50

The Purification (Kitab Al-Taharah) in Sunan Abu Dawood 50 shows the teachings and good conduct of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). It was compiled by Imam Abu Dawood and has three hundred and ninety hadiths that explain the guidance and messages given to the Prophet SAW. The original hadiths are in Arabic, and English translations are available to make them easier to understand.

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عِيسَى، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا عَنْبَسَةُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْوَاحِدِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِيهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَتْ:‏‏‏‏ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَسْتَنُّ وَعِنْدَهُ رَجُلَانِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَحَدُهُمَا أَكْبَرُ مِنَ الْآخَرِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَأَوْحَى اللَّهُ إِلَيْهِ فِي فَضْلِ السِّوَاكِ أَنْ كَبِّرْ أَعْطِ السِّوَاكَ أَكْبَرَهُمَا ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ أَحْمَدُ هُوَ ابْنُ حَزْمٍ:‏‏‏‏ قَالَ لَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ هُوَ ابْنُ الْأَعْرَابِيِّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏هَذَا مِمَّا تَفَرَّدَ بِهِ أَهْلُ الْمَدِينَةِ.

Narrated Aishah, Ummul Muminin: The Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم was using the tooth-stick, when two men, one older than the other, were with him. A revelation came to him about the merit of using the tooth-stick. He was asked to show proper respect and give it to the elder of the two.
