Sunan Abu Dawood 907

The Prayer (Kitab Al-Salat) in Sunan Abu Dawood 907 shows the teachings and good conduct of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). It was compiled by Imam Abu Dawood and has seven hundred and seventy hadiths that explain the guidance and messages given to the Prophet SAW. حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْعَلَاءِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَسُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الدِّمَشْقِيُّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَا:‏‏‏‏ أَخْبَرَنَا مَرْوَانُ بْنُ مُعَاوِيَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ يَحْيَى الْكَاهِلِيِّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ الْمُسَوَّرِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ الْأَسَدِيِّ الْمَالِكِيِّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ يَحْيَى، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَرُبَّمَا قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ شَهِدْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقْرَأُ فِي الصَّلَاةِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَتَرَكَ شَيْئًا لَمْ يَقْرَأْهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ لَهُ رَجُلٌ:‏‏‏‏ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏تَرَكْتَ آيَةَ كَذَا وَكَذَا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ هَلَّا أَذْكَرْتَنِيهَا . قَالَ سُلَيْمَانُ فِي حَدِيثِهِ:‏‏‏‏ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ كُنْتُ أُرَاهَا نُسِخَتْ. وقَالَسُلَيْمَانُ:‏‏‏‏ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى بْنُ كَثِيرٍ الْأَزْدِيُّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا الْمُسَوَّرُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ الْأَسَدِيُّ الْمَالِكِيُّ.

Narrated Al-Miswar ibn Yazid al-Maliki: The Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم recited - Yahya (sub narrator) said: Sometimes al-Miswar said: I prayed along with the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم and witnessed that he recited - the Quran during the prayer and omitted something (i. e. some verses inadvertently) which he did not recite. A man said to him: Messenger of Allah, you omitted such-and-such verse. The Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم said: Why did you not remind me of it? The narrator Sulayman said in his version: He (the man) said: I thought that it (the verse) was repealed.
