أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رَافِعٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أَحْمَدَ الزُّبَيْرِيُّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا شَرِيكٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِي الضُّحَى، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ لَا تَرْجِعُوا بَعْدِي كُفَّارًا يَضْرِبُ بَعْضُكُمْ رِقَابَ بَعْضٍ لَا يُؤْخَذُ الرَّجُلُ بِجِنَايَةِ أَبِيهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَلَا جِنَايَةِ أَخِيهِ . قَالَ أَبُو عَبْد الرَّحْمَنِ:‏‏‏‏ هَذَا خَطَأٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَالصَّوَابُ مُرْسَلٌ.

It was narrated that Ibn 'Umar said: The Messenger of Allah [SAW] said: 'Do not revert to disbelievers after I am gone, striking the necks of one another (killing one another). No man is to be punished for the sins of his father, or for the sins of his brother.'
