أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْحَاق بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ أَنْبَأَنَا وَهْبُ بْنُ جَرِيرٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ سَمِعْتُ مُحَمَّدَ بْنَ أَبِي يَعْقُوبَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ جَعْفَرٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ أَمْهَلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ آلَ جَعْفَرٍ ثَلَاثَةً أَنْ يَأْتِيَهُمْ،‏‏‏‏ ثُمَّ أَتَاهُمْ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ:‏‏‏‏ لَا تَبْكُوا عَلَى أَخِي بَعْدَ الْيَوْمِ ،‏‏‏‏ ثُمَّ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ ادْعُوا إِلَيَّ بَنِي أَخِي ،‏‏‏‏ فَجِيءَ بِنَا كَأَنَّا أَفْرُخٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ:‏‏‏‏ ادْعُوا إِلَيَّ الْحَلَّاقَ ،‏‏‏‏ فَأَمَرَ بِحَلْقِ رُءُوسِنَا. مُخْتَصَرٌ.

It was narrated that 'Abdullah bin Ja'far said: The Messenger of Allah [SAW] stayed away from the family of Ja'far (when he died) for three days, then he came to them, and said: 'Do not weep for my brother after today.' Then he said: 'Call my brother's sons to me.' We were brought like little chicks, and he said: 'Call the barber for me.' Then he ordered that our heads be shaved.
