أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ قُدَامَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قال:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ مُحَارِبِ بْنِ دِثَارٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ جَابِرٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قال:‏‏‏‏ قَامَ مُعَاذٌ فَصَلَّى الْعِشَاءَ الْآخِرَةَ فَطَوَّلَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ أَفَتَّانٌ يَا مُعَاذُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَفَتَّانٌ يَا مُعَاذُ أَيْنَ كُنْتَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ سَبِّحِ اسْمَ رَبِّكَ الْأَعْلَى و الضُّحَى و إِذَا السَّمَاءُ انْفَطَرَتْ .

It was narrated that Jabir said: Muadh stood up and prayed Isha', and made it lengthy. The Prophet (ﷺ) said: 'Do you want to cause hardship to the people, O Mu'adh; do you want to cause hardship to the people O Mu'adh? Why didn't you recite 'Glorify the Name of your Lord Most High' or Ad-Duha or; 'When the heaven is cleft asunder?
