حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ فُضَيْلٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي زِيَادٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ ابْنِ أَبِي نُعْمٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ يَقْتُلُ الْمُحْرِمُ:‏‏‏‏ الْحَيَّةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَالْعَقْرَبَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَالسَّبُعَ الْعَادِيَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَالْكَلْبَ الْعَقُورَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَالْفَأْرَةَ الْفُوَيْسِقَةَ ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقِيلَ لَهُ:‏‏‏‏ لِمَ قِيلَ لَهَا الْفُوَيْسِقَةُ؟، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ لِأَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ اسْتَيْقَظَ لَهَا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَقَدْ أَخَذَتِ الْفَتِيلَةَ لِتُحْرِقَ بِهَا الْبَيْتَ .

It was narrated from Abu Sa’eed that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: ‘The one in Ihram may kill the snake, the scorpion, the aggressive predator, the vicious dog and the harmful mouse.” It was said to him: “Why is it said that they are harmful?” He said:* “Because the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) woke up because of one, and it had taken the wick (of the lamp) to burn down the house.”
